These Terms of Service apply to all enquiries, orders and interactions with Lucky Finn. By engaging with Lucky Finn, you agree to these Terms.

1. About Lucky Finn

Lucky Finn is a Canberra-based fish breeding business supplying locally bred tropical fish and freshwater shrimp.

Lucky Finn operates on a small scale, with availability dependent on breeding cycles and fish welfare.

2. Enquiries & Orders

All purchases begin as enquiries and are subject to:

  • Stock availability

  • Confirmation of quantities and timing

  • Agreement on pricing and payment terms

Information provided about species, quantities or future availability is indicative only until confirmed.

3. Wholesale Customers

Wholesale supply is available to registered aquarium retailers only.

All wholesale purchases, pre-orders, quantities, pricing and payment terms are governed by Lucky Finn’s Wholesale Terms, which form part of these Terms of Service.

Retailers should review the Wholesale Terms before placing an order.

4. Pre-Orders

Pre-orders allow Lucky Finn to plan breeding responsibly and grow fish to appropriate size.

Pre-order timeframes are estimates only and may change due to growth rates, health or welfare considerations. Any changes will be communicated as early as possible.

5. Pricing & Payment

Pricing and payment terms are confirmed at the time of order.

Orders are not confirmed until pricing and payment terms have been agreed to by both parties.

6. Collection, Delivery & Risk

Fish are supplied locally and handled carefully to minimise stress.

Once fish are collected or delivered, responsibility transfers to the buyer. Buyers are responsible for appropriate transport, acclimatisation and tank conditions.

7. Fish Health & Welfare

Lucky Finn takes care to supply healthy, well-raised fish.

Lucky Finn is not responsible for losses resulting from:

  • Transport after collection

  • Incompatible or unsuitable tank conditions

  • Improper acclimatisation

  • Environmental factors beyond our control

8. Refunds & Returns

Due to the nature of live fish and aquatic stock:

  • Refunds or returns are not offered once fish have left Lucky Finn’s care, except where required under the Australian Consumer Law

  • Each situation will be assessed fairly and reasonably

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

9. Cancellations

If an order or pre-order needs to be cancelled, please contact Lucky Finn as early as possible.

Deposits may be non-refundable where breeding or preparation has already commenced, as outlined in the Wholesale Terms (where applicable).

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Lucky Finn is not liable for any loss, damage or expense arising from:

  • Delays or changes in availability

  • Breeding outcomes

  • Care or use of fish after collection

This does not limit rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Lucky Finn may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The most current version will always be available on the website.
